Two friends on a woolly mission
Growly Games was born in 2021, in the middle of the corona pandemic. It all started with a simple game that we, Jesse (left) and Vincent (right), were playing. But honestly? The rules were unclear and the game felt boring. So we decided to spice it up a bit. With a few small adjustments, it suddenly became a lot more fun! That got us thinking: what if we didn't just adjust a game, but came up with a completely new game ourselves?

Sheep? Sheep!
And so our adventure began. Idea after idea passed by. We experimented with game concepts, from collecting objects to scoring points. We found collecting interesting, but what would be really fun to collect? Shells, flowers, bananas... we considered it all. Until the moment came when it all came together: sheep!
Sheep are cute, a little silly, and they come in all shapes and sizes. The theme was found!

Andy Jewett
A game isn’t complete without great artwork. Who could bring our sheep to life? We got in touch with Andy via Instagram and were thrilled when he responded to our request. His experience at Nickelodeon, among others, had more than convinced us to use his skills.
He has accomplished our woolly mission to come up with funny, crazy and silly sheep. The amount of positive feedback we have received about the artwork confirms that! More of Andy's work can be found here: Andy's portfolio

Sheep Showdown!
The birth of our first game, Sheep Showdown, was a fact! After years of development and testing, we were quite proud of the end result: a compact, eye-catching and environmentally friendly box with guaranteed hours of fun.
